Classical Kindergarten

 

Classical Kindergarten at Good Shepherd School consists of phonics, handwriting and math. In addition, science and history are integrated through classical literature, Five in a Row and nature study.

Copy work allows the child to learn rules of grammar, punctuation and spelling. Narration encourages children to narrate a sentence for the teacher to write down. The children then copy the written words correctly and neatly.
