About Ms. Thomas
Ms. Thomas is originally from Long Island, New York. She has resided in Round Hill for the past twenty years with her family, which includes five children.
Throughout her career, Ms. Thomas has been involved in education. She graduated from Dowling College on Long island, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts & Humanities, and worked toward a Master’s degree in education at Dowling College. After staying home to raise her five children, Ms. Thomas taught in Loudoun County Public Schools on a regular basis in all grade levels as a substitute teacher. Along with subbing, she has been a long-time catechist at Saint Francis De Sales Parish in Purcellville, where she is an active parishioner.
Ms. Thomas' love for teaching children also took her into the world of coaching. A collegiate volleyball player herself, she has coached volleyball for seven years both at Woodgrove High School in Purcellville and also for the Western Loudoun Volleyball Club (now Catoctin Volle.
Before coming to Good Shepherd School, Ms. Thomas, along with teaching, was the secretary at Saint Stephen the Martyr Parish in Middleburg.
