About Mrs. Willard

Joanna and her husband, Glenn, have been married for 41 years. They are parishioners of St. Francis de Sales, and have 12 children and 20 grandchildren. Joanna has homeschooled many grade levels over the years, has taught Sacramental preparation for 25 years, and is a certified Level 1 and 2 catechist for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (will complete Level 3 certification in June 2024).

Joanna is well versed in the classics and nature study, teaching the Faith in an academic classroom, and says, “I believe that the shaping of the whole person has the potential of bringing good to our families, local community, but ultimately the Church and the world.”

In addition to her role as 1st and 2nd grade teacher, Joanna also serves as Faculty and Curriculum Coordinator for Classical Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

Joanna is the owner of two small businesses. Raising and breeding Labrador Retrievers for over 20 years, she established Short Hill Mountain Labradors LLC and has five generations of dogs with champion lineage bred for beauty, health and temperament.

Before teaching at Good Shepherd School, Joanna founded Celebrate Slowly LLC, a wedding and event coordinating business with a mission of helping plan for environmentally sustainable events. She continues to act as a day of coordinator for weddings in her spare time.
